HAPPY THURSDAY: Words for Thought

Happy Thursday everyone! A friend of mine e-mailed me this great “Thought of Day” and I thought it was worth passing on to all my fabulous bloggers…….

“There are three kinds of law; social or moral law, or culturally acceptable behavior;
civil law, or legally accepted behavior; and universal law, or cause and effect.
We may avoid the consequences of breaking the first two, but never the third.”

STYLIN’ HER HAT

Here’s Jilliann playing around with “last years” hat.  Good thing I had my camera ready with memory chip or else I would have never been able to bribe her with enough chocolate or candy to wear that for me.  She is quite the “ham”!!

MORE LOVE FROM JILLIANN

I know what you’re thinking ~ “Do I ever put my camera down?”  And as I sit and wonder that myself, but it’s pretty much conclusive ~ I really don’t ever put my camera down.  Ever since I started photography as not only my passion but now my full time career, I find myself always striving for the better picture than the last one.  Like my mom always said, “practice makes perfect”.  I’ve been reading and researching to no end to find all the different things I can do with my pictures in hopes that it only makes me a better photographer.  I’m really looking forward to everything I learn and accomplish in this career/passion.  So I do hope all of you enjoy my blog as much as I enjoy capturing these moments that I will long forever cherish.

THE ADDICTION OF “SINGSTAR”

So a couple months ago Leo and I bought the Singstar for our playstation.  I guess we thought it would be a fun and competitive game for our nights at home with a nice bottle of wine.  The moment that we started playing ~ WE WERE HOOKED!  Leo (who has no singing talent), loved it instantly.  We’ve had soooo much fun entertaining one another to “Hit Me Baby One More Time” and of course his favorite “Would” by Alice and Chains.  It’s addicting!!

On occasion our friends and neighbors would stop by, and instantly Leo and I say ~ “Wanna play Singstar?”  They look at us like we have lost our minds.  They say “Are you crazy, I can’t sing.  There is no way we will play that.”  But what’s even more interesting is every person that has been introduced to Singstar by us, they ALL end up with that microphone in hand singing a crazy melody.  What’s also so great is they always come back for more.  So all you out there that don’t think you can sing or refuse to in front of people - try Singstar and I warrant you will not only sing in front of your friends and family but you will LOVE it all at the same time.

So please enjoy the few photos of everyone who said “There is no way I’m going to sing”!!! :)  And yes, I even love it so much I sang with ROLLERS in my hair, yup that’s right - IT’S ADDICTING!!

IT’S LITTLE ABBY

It’s so amazing for my adorable cousin Jenni to blossom into motherhood.  It’s so rewarding and I wish her nothing but the best.  I love her dearly and she may not know this, but she is my favorite cousin on my dad’s side of the family. :)  Okay, so she may be my only cousin on my dad’s side of the family ~ but she is much admired and loved!  And I can’t wait to once again hug and kiss on her heart melting little girl Abby!! :)

WHAT MAKES YOU SMILE

**I am slowly but surely going through all my pictures from our vacation to Wisconsin, so bare with me here.

As I had the pleasure of photographing all the fabulous looking children in my family, I thought I would wrap them all up in one.  This picture is now by far my favorite! When I look at all the little ones in my family, I am not only blessed but proud of them all.  I hope you enjoy this picture as much as I do!

Jilliann Skyler

My pride and joy!! There are never enough words to describe just how joyous Jilliann can be. Among her sparkly brown eyes, her long eye lashes, that curly hair ~ it’s that smile that makes me love being a mom!!

A TOUCH OF HOME

Just when I thought I’ve experienced a lot of snow, we received this beautiful snowfall this morning.  Considering the temperature is 40 degrees, the snow is slowly melting away.  Although it is beautiful to see, I am not saddened by any stretch of the means that it’s melting away. :)

It did bring a little “touch of home” considering Wisconsin is consistantly white all winter long. :)
