THURSDAY RANDOMNESS

Here’s a taste of Thursday Randomness…..

Maybe I should…… Clean out my medicine box.  Lord only knows how old some of those bottles are.  And having a medic in the house doesn’t help either since Leo seems to bring home everything from his clinic!!

I love the smell of…… Freshly cleaned sheets!  I dread sleeping in my sheets if their more than 7 days old!

People would say that I…… Love to take pictures of just about everything!  I think I may annoy people time and time again!

I don’t understand why…… Heidi and Spencer make all this money by simply being annoying.

I wake up in the morning…… And first thing I do is check my e-mail.

I lost my willpower to…… anything sweet.  Help!

Life is wonderful…… When I’m with all my family and friends.

My past…… Was most definitely sheltered!  I’m still not sure if growing up in a small town was a good thing!  I remember being in New York City for the first time and nudging Leo in the arm saying “OMG, they have Amish people in the city”!  After many laughs and fingers pointed at me, I learned they were Jewish!  Well call me silly but I have never seen nor met a Jewish person in WISCONSIN!!! Hello!!

I get annoyed when…… My house is a mess!  I am not a happy camper with people who are careless when it comes to cleaning things up.  I mean how many times do you have to walk by a piece of bubble gum wrapper on the floor before you decide to pick it up!

Parties are not…… my thing!  Now BBQing with some margaritas and martini’s is definitely my thing!

Dogs are…… defintely smart and nice to cuddle up with!  We miss ours!!

Cats are…… hairy! And my face, eyes, and skin just don’t agree with them!

Tomorrow I’m going to…… Take Jilliann to school, work on wedding albums and hopefully have lunch with Leo.

I have low tolerance for…… Annoying and disrespectful kids.  I think the south has spoiled me!

I am totally terrified…… of horrific wounds!  I can’t stand the site of blood.

I wonder why I thought my life would be……. easy.  Juggling a family and a home is one of the hardest jobs I’ve ever had to do.  But I wouldn’t change a thing!!

Never in my life…… have I ever had an ounce of alcohol and put my child in the vehicle with me.

High School was something that…… was definitely a growing experience.

When I’m nervous…… I remain silent.

Making my bed…… is a daily duty.

I’m almost always……craving something sweet!  No willpower!

I’m addicted to…… anything sweet!

SHE’S JUST A SCOOTER GIRL

Jilliann went from having not a clue how to do the “Step, Push, Step, Push, Step” routine while trying to ride her new scooter that she received as a fabulous birthday present.  But now, she can step and push like a pro!  We’ve even let her ride in the house considering she loves showing off for us now!

These are just a few of last months photographs but I couldn’t let them go to waste as I do my bi-monthly folder cleaning!

Happy Wednesday Everyone!

HANGING WITH THE VERHULPS

The weather couldn’t have been more perfect this last weekend.  Especially while hanging out with the Verhulps!  Once again, we had tons and tons of fun soaking up some sun while the kids played.  It’s amazing how just weeks can go by and your friends children literally grow inches over night.  Little Jaeger is no longer that little bitty baby!  I think he’s packing some acorns in those cheeks of his!!  And of course Marec acts and talks more grown up from the last time we saw them.

Thank you Verhulps for inviting us to a great BBQ and an awesome time at the pool!  We absolutely loved it!!

Happy Monday Ya’ll!

GROWING UP FAR TOO FAST

Well the time has finally come!  Our little Jilliann is now at the age where she will officially start pre-school. (my stomach is in knots)  As much as I want the best for our little girl, it’s just far to soon for me to put a backpack on our little girl and send her off to pre-school.  Granted, our church St. Joseph’s has a hands down awesome private school and I couldn’t be more ecstatic to have Jilliann attending their Montessori Pre-School.  But as a mother, I just don’t want her to grow up.  She’s at the stage where she looks to her mommy for everything and I love nothing more than being with her every step of the way.  But sooner or later I won’t be putting her into pre-school anymore, I’ll soon being running around getting her supplies for the Science Far, then taking her to her first dance, and lending a shoulder when her first boyfriend breaks her heart.

Needless to say, my little Jilliann is growing up far too fast!  One day I’m going to miss those moments when she runs through the door screaming “Mommy, Mommy” and to be so happy to see me.  Because we all know that won’t always be the case.  To have your three year old look at you as the best thing in the world, is a feeling I will always cherish.

So I’m sure as her first day of pre-school will be a sad one for me, I also know it will be a proud moment as a parent!  So stand back because I will have tons of tears, joy and smiles all at once.  I am one proud Momma!!

CHILDREN’S ZOO - FORT WAYNE, IN ~ Part 2

I probably won’t be able to say this enough but I was extremely happy to have spent the little time that I did with my sisters, niece and nephews.  Living so far away from home and only being able to see your family a couple times a year makes it difficult considering I love them more than they could even imagine.  But being able to document our time with my family is most definitelty priceless and I’m so glad to put these images in our “Family Album of Memories 2008″.

HAPPY WEDNESDAY!

CHILDREN’S ZOO - FORT WAYNE, IN ~ Part 1

After an enormous breakfast, we headed to the Fort Wayne, Indiana Children’s Zoo.  This zoo had so much stuff to do that I’m amazed that we actually seen it all.  Although it was a tad bit hot and humid, it didn’t stop us from having bucket loads of fun.  The kids were having the best of time as well as being on their best behavior.  Thank goodness!!  :-)

This is Jilliann and myself second time at the zoo but it seemed like our first time around.  I was especially grateful to have shared this visit with my sisters, niece and nephews.

Stay tuned for Part 2 - Happy Monday!

THE ICING ON THE CAKE : MY SURPRISE!

Considering we were completely and totally blessed to have spent three long weeks with Leo’s family, I couldn’t have asked for a better “icing on the cake” surprise!  My beautiful sisters took time out of their busy lives and made a road trip to Indiana from Wisconsin to visit with us for a day.  That’s right, I said a day!  They drove 6 hours on Wednesday and then turned around today (Thursday) and headed back home.  There is nothing more rewarding to the heart and soul to have spent the little time I did with my sisters.  And even more icing on the cake was seeing my two adorable nephews and my sweet little niece!  I am such a lucky Aunt to be blessed with such a beautiful family.  I’m pretty sure as they departed today my niece and nephews left with rosy red cheeks due to the excessive kissing I could not control!

We were definitely overwhelmed today since we wanted to get in as much fun as we possibly could considering we didn’t have a whole lot of time!  So after a fabulous lunch, hours at the zoo and then pizza at the arcades we said our goodbyes!  My sisters may never know you truly important this day meant to me.  As I always say on my blog, “I never see my family enough” and today was just the “ICING ON THE CAKE”!

Dear Ranae and Rachel,

We may have hated sharing bedrooms and clothes growing up and fighting over the most inconsequential things wasn’t fun, but I appreciate and love you two more than you will ever know.  You both are a huge part of what makes my world go around and I blessed to have you in my life.  I love you both!

You’re Favorite Sister! :-)

WE’RE SO GRATEFUL!

While finishing up our vacation here in Indiana, I really wanted to create a post on how grateful Leo and I have been these past few weeks.  We are far more grateful than anyone could ever imagine to have had the opportunity to spend a long beautiful week in North Carolina with Leo’s family.  They were/are far too generous and we couldn’t have asked for a better vacation!  Thank you all!

Being in Connecticut and surrounded by such great people was absolutely wonderful.  We definitely know we don’t see our families enough and it was fabulous to have seen everyone over great Italian food and all the stories about Leo when he was a little boy.  I can never get enough of them!

If you’re ever in Connecticut area, you must stop by Leo’s grandma’s house for some of the best home cooking you could possibly ever imagine!  She is truly fabulous and I love her to pieces!

** We’re here in Indiana finishing up our vacation and I have some fun and exciting news to share with ya’ll and I couldn’t be more ecstatic so stay tuned! **

THE BEACH, MEMORIES, SUMMER READING AND A TAN

Our beach vacation here in North Carolina is officially coming to a close.  Tomorrow we say good-bye to our beach house and the beautiful ocean.  The beach is one of my favorite places to escape from everything and just enjoy the never ending waters and that softness of the breeze brushing against your skin.  Some great memories were created here and we’ll definitely miss this place.  I loved nothing more than watching Jilliann enjoy every minute she spent here at the beach.  Watching her smile, laugh and jumping in excitement will be my most memorable moments here.  She can truly warm my heart when she’s so overjoyed in excitement!!  I love it!!

Not only was our vacation surrounded by great people and wonderful food, but I also just finished a fabulous summer book!  I said to myself that I was going to take as much time as I could to just sit down, relax and enjoy a nice piece of reading material.  And I am so glad I did!  I definitely don’t read enough so I think after this vacation that will have to change.  And if your looking for a great book for some summer reading, definitely check out “Dear, John” by Nicholas Sparks.  I bought this book at the last minute while in the airport getting ready to fly out to Indiana.  I’m not much a novelist reader but this book defnitely had me wanting more.  I coudn’t seem to put it down.  It also was a book that I could completely relate to you which made it that much better!!  If you’re familiar with Nicholas Sparks, he also wrote the book “The Notebook” which became one of my favorite movies of all time!

Considering we’ll be leaving this beautiful North Carolina sun, I know that every one will be leaving this vacation much tanner than we were coming in.  And that in itself is always a great thing to take with you from your fun family vacation!!

*** It was absolutely amazing to see the wild horses they have here on the beach.  And I literally mean “wild”!  They run wild up and down the beach which also makes them a huge tourist attraction and we were so happy to have seen them!! ***
